PENCH SAFARI | INDIA
Discover India’s glorious wildlife, rekindle your connection to nature, and become a part of one of the longest running wildlife conservation movements at this seasonal camp. Nestled in the heart of rural Pench, this camp lets you disconnect from daily mundanity; wake-up to the sounds of wildlife in a luxurious, but sustainably crafted tent, and absorb the freshness of the forest surrounding you. Your jungle experience is enhanced by local food, safari expeditions, and star gazing. The camp engages in collaboration with local communities, and respect for their cultures. Enterprise, flora and fauna have truly assimilated into the nature of Pench.
The Story
Keeping up with sustainability principles, the tents are made to cause the least impact on mother nature. No trees were cut to make wooden flooring in their rooms or to even build furniture other than the bed. Instead, they reclaimed seasoned wood from the decks of ships, writing desks from the Supreme Court of India and sofas that were used in the 70s art deco furniture used by Embassies in Delhi. Hence, this is where Art and Luxury come together. Every year, the flooring comes out, the furniture packs up in May, and they allow the jungle to take over again.
