PROSENJIT GUY KUNDU | CHOREOGRAPHER
Prosenjit Guy Kundu is a choreographer, dancer, model, and teacher. He has been a contributor to the dance industry for over two decades now. Prosenjit, who is of Indian and French descent discovered the art of Hip Hop dancing in 1990 in Virginia when he was only 15. By day, he formally trained in the dance forms of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and African at VCU and by night were pursuing dance styles such as Breakdancing, House, Hip Hop, Popping, and Locking at underground clubs. Today, he continues to perfect his craft as a dancer, his teaching and dancing skills have taken him across the globe.
With Prosenjit, India found its first teacher to teach new dance styles like hip-hop, breaking, house, popping and locking. He came to be known as the dancer who brought the street dance phenomenon into India. Prosenjit created a large base of online tutorials and classes catered to the Indian dancers to familiarise them with these forms. His latest project is “CAMP KUNDU” which is a unique program that teaches students with a fun approach utilising creativity in an unconventional way through drills, concepts, vocabulary, techniques, musicality and style.
